My Work
I am a staff member in the Computational Geo-Ecology (CGE) research group, Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics. The mission of the group is to understand the functioning of geoecosystems, and their response to changing environmental conditions.
Key activities are collecting and modeling of massive biotic and abiotic datasets, the analysis of satellite imagery, of high resolution LiDAR DEMs and the development of innovative modeling techniques and measurement devices.
CGE is responsible for a number of 'tools and techniques' in the bachelor and master of Biology and Earth Sciences. We offer innovative courses on land cover change such as: Modeling of Geo-ecologicalSystems, GIS and Remote Sensing for Geo-ecosystem Systems and Environmetrics for Landscape Quantification.
