Cock Dieleman

Cock Dieleman (1961) studeerde geschiedenis in Utrecht en theaterwetenschap in Amsterdam. Sinds 1985 werkt hij voor de opleiding theaterwetenschap van de UvA, sinds 1991 als docent. Zijn specialisaties zijn theatervormgeving, dramaturgie, toneelschrijven, theatereducatie en contemporain Nederlands theater. Hij is coördinator van de bacheloropleiding theaterwetenschap en de masteropleidingen theaterwetenschap en dramaturgie.
Van 1999 tot 2005 was hij naast zijn docentschap in Amsterdam werkzaam als hoofd educatie van Het Zuidelijk Toneel, respectievelijk ZT Hollandia in Eindhoven. In dezelfde tijd was hij samen met Erik Lint initiatiefnemer van de website Nederland Theaterland.
Cock Dieleman is op 4 februari 2010 gepromoveerd op een proefschrift, getiteld Het nieuwe theaterleren. Een veldonderzoek naar derol van theater binnen Culturele en KunstzinnigeVorming op havo en vwo.

Cock Dieleman (1961) studied History in Utrecht and Theatre Studies in Amsterdam. Since 1985 he works for the department of Theatre Studies of UvA, since 1991 as a lecturer. His specializations are theatre design, dramaturgy, stage writing, theatre education and contemporary Dutch theatre. He is coordinator of the Bachelor program Theatre Studies and Master programs Theatre Studies and Dramaturgy.
In addition to his professorship in Amsterdam he was Head of the Education Department of Het Zuidelijk Toneel and ZT Hollandia in Eindhoven from 1999 to 2005. In the same period he was initiator of the website Nederland Theaterland, together with Erik Lint. He finished his PhD in 2010. His dissertation is titled: Het nieuwe theaterleren. Een veldonderzoek naar de rol van theater binnen Culturele en Kunstzinnige Vorming op havo en vwo (summary in English).
