Dr Fadi Hirzalla

Fadi Hirzalla studied economics and political science (hons.), with a minor study in social and political philosophy. He wrote his MSc thesis about ideological profiling, mobilization and power in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His PhD dissertation discusses the role of the internet in young people's civic life. Currently, he is conducting an interdisciplinary postdoc research project, Wired Up, at Utrecht University, and he is a MA thesis supervisor in political communication at the University of Amsterdam. His current research and teaching activities are mostly about the function of the internet in political and cultural citizenship, with a focus on youth, ethnic minorities and Islam.
