Bert van de Roemer
Bert van de Roemer studied art history at the Universiteit van Amsterdam and Art, Culture and Education at the Hogeschool Holland. For his research project into the theoretical backgrounds of Dutch collections of curiosities from the early modern period he obtained scholarships from the Institute of Culture and History in Amsterdam and the Max-Planck Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte in Berlin. His main fields of interest are: museology, the history of early modern collections, interaction between art and natural sciences, cultural politics and the historiography of art history. At the moment Van de Roemer works as assistant professor for the Department of Cultural Studies.
