Geert ten Dam

Geert ten Dam is a full professor of education at the Department of Pedagogical and Educational Sciences, Faculty of Social and Behaviour Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. She completed her master’s degree in 1984 (Social Sciences, University of Amsterdam ) and her doctorate in 1989 (Social Sciences, University of Groningen ). Her research interests centre on social inequality in education in relation to learning and instruction processes. Many of her research projects have been on instructional designs for citizenship education in both vocational education and general secondary education. She supervises scientific research as well as policy-oriented commissioned research.
