'LEAKING ANGER IN DISCOURSE' (2nd project)
In conversation, people may show their irritation or anger by using words & notitions that normally are used to show politeness "good morning, please, thank you, hello, goodbey".
When used in another
Voor mijn onderzoek naar het zogenaamde Woede-Lexicon in het Nederlands ben ik op zoek naar waargebeurde zinnen waarin mensen hun woede lekken als in:
(1)" goedemorgen zeg! dat is helemaal niet waar"
well goodmorning , thats not true at all
(2) "nou bedankt, als je er zo over denkt"
well, thanks:( , if that's what you think
(3) Hallo, ben je wel goed bij je hoofd?
Hello:( , are you out of your mind?
(4) ja dag, dat willen we allemaal wel.
so Goodbey, thats what we all want
This phenomenon is a bit universal: in Italian 'Buona Notte' is leaking anger, in Englis *GoodMorning is not...
