Current research: the analysis of encapsulation in written academic discourse, and other types of discourse
General research interests:
Discourse approach to academic writing; understanding grammar through Discourse theories such as Text World theory; the relations between grammar and pragmatics.
Investigating the role and effectivity of peer feedback based on discourse levels in courses teaching academic writing. Researching the longterm effects if any of introducing peer feedback into academic study.
