Malte Carlos Hinrichsen
is a PhD student at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (University of Amsterdam) and also teaches at the Department of Journalism and Communication Research (University of Music and Drama, Hanover). His PhD is posited in a larger research project on Religion, Euroscepticism, and the Media (in cooperation with the Universities of Cambridge, Frankfurt (Oder), Oxford, Lissabon, London) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Claes de Vreese.
Malte is currently dealing with the question how media coverage on religious issues affects people to evaluate political issues, e.g. the EU, by increasing the linkage between religious values and perceptions and political considerations.
Malte is Board Member of the International CommunicationAssociation (ICA), as the PhD student representative.
He is also on the editorial board of the Journal of Media and Communication
