Ph.D. Project: DESIGN FEATURES AND SEQUENCING OF L2 TASKS

The main research question of my project is how cognitive task complexity and interactivity influence the oral performance of second language (L2) learners. My empirical investigations focus on Turkish and Moroccan learners of Dutch L2.

I work within the Cognition Hypothesis of Task-based Language Teaching by Peter Robinson.

My promotor (1st advisor) is Folkert Kuiken and InekeVedderis my co-promoter (2nd advisor).

Current Affiliations

From July 2009 on I work as a research associate at the Teachers College of the Techincal University of Dortmund (ZfL, TU Dortmund) on a project on second language acquisition of German (DaZ). The focus lies on the implementation of content and language integrated learning in the teachers education of all subjects.

I am still affiliated as a Ph.D-student at the Amsterdam Center for Language and Communication (ACLC)

and I am a member ofthe Research Group Cognitive Approaches to Second Language Acquisition (CASLA).

I am also a member of the AILA Research Network (ReN):
Task Complexity and Second Language Learning (TacoSell).
