Marije Osnabrugge (1984) finished a BA in Art History (2006) and a Research Master ‘Art History of the Low Countries in its European Context’ (2008) at Utrecht University. Her MA/MPhil thesis, ‘Aert Mijtens: a painter from Brussels in Naples 1556-1601’ (cum laude) was supervised by prof.dr. B.W. Meijer of the Dutch University Institute for Art History in Florence (NIKI). Between February 2008 and October 2010, she worked as a junior lecturer at Utrecht University and as the secretary of the Dutch Postgraduate School for Art History (OSK). In November 2010, she started as a PhD Candidate at the University of Amsterdam. The provisional title of her dissertation is ‘Local versus foreign art: Netherlandish painting in Naples 1575 – 1701’ (supervisors: prof.dr. E.J. Sluijter & dr. A.R. de Koomen).
