Profile

Marlon Boeve studied law at the University of Amsterdam. She has been working at the Amsterdam Centre for Environmental Law and Sustainability (ACELS) since 1996. Presently she is a researcher and lecturer at ACELS. She has published widely in periodicals and books on such topics as sustainable urban development, environmental quality standards and compensation in environmental law. She lecturers in the area of environmental law to Master students and is also lecturer in post-graduated courses on enviromental law. 

 

Marlon Boeve is a member of the editorial board of the Tijdschrift voor Omgevingsrecht and country correspondent for the Journal for European Environmental and Planning Law (JEEPL). She is also member of the Ius Commune research school and the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law.

Research interests

Research interests include general environmental law and spatial planning law, general administrative law, sustainable urban development, environmental impact assesment, strategic environmental assessment, regulation of industrial pollution (IPPC/IED), air quality law and law on noise nuisance and external safety.
