Mara Wesseling is a PhD Candidate within the Datawars project.
Her research is concerned with: new spaces of governing the European war against terrorism financing. The two main case studies of her thesis are the 'SWIFT affair' and the EU's 3rd AML/CFT Directive.
Previously she has worked at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy in the Netherlands.
She holds an MSc in Political Geography from the University of Amsterdam (2006) and an MA in International Relations from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (2005).
