Research
My research interests are the underlying mechanisms of learning, in particular the causes of learning disabilities like dyslexia or dyscalculia. Another interest is how fluent reading and automaticity can be reached both in a native language and in a second language like English. I am also interested in the possibility of cognitive plasticity and remediating learning disabilities by targeted training studies within schools.
