Rob Hagendijk is currently working on the following topics:

Conceptually I am interested in theories of technoscience, society and politics. More specifically in:
- Sociotechnical imaginaries and the coproduction of science, technology and society
- Discourse coalition theory
- The integration of science and technology studies with political theory (theories of international relations and political economy and democratic theory)

Associate Professor in the Political Science Department of the Universiteit van Amsterdam. MA Sociology (1979, with honors), PhD Science and Technology Studies (1996).
President of the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST) 1996-2000.

Teaching
Alongside various courses on the topics listed above, I teach general philosophy of science and science studies for beginning students in the social sciences and supervise master student's and PhD students.
Postgraduate
Over the last three years organization of workshops on 'science, technology and development' for starting PhDs and professionals from the Global South together with Harro Maat (WUR) and other colleagues.
As a member of the Council of the SDN network (see above) I organize annual meetings of the network.
