What is your online niche and how do you claim it? How do you create meaningful interactions with your audience? And what are innovative ways of science communication using social media? This practical workshop helps social media users to spread the word about their research in a more effective and efficient way.

During the training, several social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) will be discussed. You will learn how to reach your audience and achieve your goals using the these platforms. Moreover, you will practice writing appealing posts and get tips and tricks on how to use photos and videos to get the attention in a feed.

Anique Gijsberts is social media editor and trainer at Science ON AIR and Wetenschap.nu, and works for news website Nu.nl.

The workshop is only open for researchers from Amsterdam UMC, HvA, UvA, VU. Participation is free of charge but registration is required.
