Academic Profile

I am an Assistant Professor in English Literature. Before moving to Amsterdam, I taught at Concordia University and McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I completed my PhD at McGill, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto and a visiting research fellowship at the Institute of English Studies, University of London. My research focuses on Victorian literature, gender, and sensation fiction. I am completing a monograph on the New Man in the Victorian novel and beginning a new project on domestic sensation novels of the 1860s.
