Home

Wanda Strauven is Associate Professor of Film Studies in the Media Studies Department at the University of Amsterdam. She is Vice Director of the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA) and co-founder of the Imagined Futures (iFut) research group. Her research and teaching interests include early and avant-garde cinema, technological fantasies, synaesthesia, media archaeology and media ecology. She is the author of Marinetti e il cinema (2006). She (co-)edited Mind the Screen (2008), The Cinema of Attractions Reloaded (2006) and Homo Orthopedicus (2001).
